About My Mom’s Mind…
Founded in honor and continued in memory of Barbara J. Martin.
My Mom’s Mind was created in honor of a women who planned carefully for her future - and whose life was forever changed by dementia.
She was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) in 2022, and after living at home for 2 years, she spent 18 months in a memory community where she passed away in July 2025.
During her final months, it became painfully clear how many individuals living with dementia face financial hardship - even after a lifetime of professional success and careful planning.
My Moms’s Mind exists to help ensure that people living with dementia can remain in safe, specialized care communities, living with dignity, stability and compassion - regardless of financial barriers.
